Day 1: VITERBO

Arrival and private transfer to Viterbo. Accommodation in your hotel. Expolation of the wonderful surroundings of the town, including Villa Lante in Bagnaia and Bomarzo Park - the monsters park, a garden of the XVI century.

Day 2: VITERBO

Breakfast and time to explore the wonderful city that has been a pope town 1257-1281.
You will see the Duomo, considered to be the most attractive landmark of the town together with the pope palace.
Inside its citadel you can breathe an atmosphere of times gone by: walking through the narrow alleys, passing under small round arches, loggias and towers, stopping to admire the beautiful external stairs, known as "profferli" it is the best way to discover this district of Viterbo.

Day 3: BOLSENA LAKE, CIVITA DI BAGNOREGIO & PERUGIA

Breakfast and departure towards Umbria. On your way to Perugia take a few hours to stop in Bolsena Lake and in Civita di Bagnoregio, the dying city. It is a small town perched on a tuff cliff. The stone is slowly collapsing and now the town has been abandoned by its habitants.
Arrival in Perugia and accommodation in your wonderful hotel in the countryside, just off Perugia.

Day 4: PERUGIA

After breakfast time at leisure to explore Perugia, the capital town of Umbria. Perugia is a very interesting city, rich in history, culture and offering many surprises to its visitors!  
The Cathedral, the major fountain, Palazzo dei Priori, Saint Peter’s Church and the old narrow streets (“vicoli”) of medieval Perugia, including the Rocca Paolina are only a few of the highlights you will discover during your sightseeing.
You will also  visit some rare pearls, like the Palazzo of count Sorbello and the workshop of glass, in an ancient laboratory, made of women. Lunch in a typical restaurant with a local menù including beverages.

Day 5: ASSISI

Breakfast and departure to explore Assisi and its marvelous Giotto Frescos in the Upper Basilica of Saint Frances.
Protected by Unesco as a human Heritage site, Assisi has a lot to offer both to art lovers and to religious visitors! The old Rocca, and the mystic cathedral together with the narrow medieval streets of the old towns make of Assisi a place to be!
Enjoy the fantastic view from the Cathedral and from the fortress at sunset!

Day 6: LAKE TRASIMENO & CITTA' DELLA PIEVE

Breakfast. One day to explore the beauty of Lake Trasimeno, famous for the amazing and dazzling colors of its sunsets in every season, and the wonderful Borghi around the lake, like Città della Pieve.
This is a charming medieval town that was the hometown of the most important renaissance painter of Italy, Pietro Vannucci named Perugino. You can discover this beautiful town through its narrow streets that date back to the XIII century.

Day 7: SAGRANTINO WINE ROAD & MONTEFALCO

Today you will explore the world famous Sagrantino Wine Road, one of the most popular of italian wine roads! It connects Montefalco, Bevagna and other tiny castles of central Umbria. You will also visit the St Francis Museum Church, where you can find the frescos of Benozzo Gozzoli.
On the way to Montefalco stop in a traditional wine cellar for tasting the best Sagrantino wine, both dry and sweet.

Day 8: DEPARTURE

Breakfast and departure.
