Day 1: ASSISI
Arrival in Assisi, hotel accommodation and time to visit the city, a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. Assisi is world famous as the hometown of Saint Francis. Thanks to him many of the most important medieval painters have worked and created masterpieces. Giotto and his school have worked in the Basilica dedicated to Francesco. Bike delivery in your hotel if you have rented it through our office. Overnight in your hotel.
Day 2: from ASSISI to PERUGIA
Finally your Great Journey to Tuscany begins! First leg: Assisi to Perugia through the beautiful valley where life flows slowly. Time for your detours to visit little towns on the way to Perugia, the capital town of Umbria. The historical center is perched on smooth hills and many are the attractions of the city.

Day 3: from PERUGIA to PASSIGNANO SUL TRASIMENO
Cycling in Umbria is a wonderful experience. Today you have a beautiful ride following quiet roads in the beautiful countryside as far as Lake Trasimeno. Gentle hills dotted with wine estates and olive groves will take you to the shallow waters of the lake.

Day 4: from PASSIGNANO SUL TRASIMENO to CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO
New leg today from Passignano to Castiglione del Lago (by ferry on ciclying) Nice ride with the Ferry from Passignano to Isola Maggiore and to Castiglione! Time on the island for a nice walk or for a greedy lunch before the easy walk as far as Porto (it is possible to split this leg including an overnight in Maggiore Island). If you prefer you can cycle along the lake shores along the cicling road instead of visiting Isola Maggiore.

Day 5: from CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO to MONTEPULCIANO
From Castiglione del Lago we will cycle across the Val di Chiana and than through the beautiful vineyards of the Val d'Orcia up to Montepulciano, in Tuscany. The town of etruscan roots is a wonderful place to discover very old underground wine cellars and fine wines. Overnight in this charming an unforgettable place.

Day 6: from MONTEPULCIANO to BUONCONVENTO
Today you will pedal from Montepulciano to Buonconvento in Val d'Orcia and along the Via Francigena. Wonderful itinerary following the steps of many pilgrims that for many centuries walked this way to Rome . Overnight in Buonconvento.

Day 7: from BUONCONVENTO to SIENA
Last leg of this wonderful itinerary today from Buonconvento to Siena. Our destination is the world famous Piazza del Campo, the emblem of the city and the set of his famous race, the Palio of Siena! Bike return in your hotel through our company.

Day 8: SIENA
Departure. It is still possible to extend your stay in Siena to discover its great historical and artistic heritage of the town. If you have rented your bicyles return will be in your hotel through our company.
