Starting in Assisi, you’ll travel through charming towns like Passignano sul Trasimeno, explore Perugia’s artistic treasures and enjoy the serene landscapes around Lake Trasimeno. Each day reveals new delights, from the rolling hills and vineyards of the Orcia Valley to the medieval allure of Siena.

Day 1: ASSISI
Arrival in Assisi, hotel accommodation and time to visit the town, a World Heritage Site protected by UNESCO. Urban trekking through its alleys and unique medieval scenaries. Overnight.
Day 2: from ASSISI to RIPA
After breakfast, finally your Great Journey begins! First leg is the walking itinerary from Assisi to Ripa.

Day 3: from RIPA to PERUGIA
After breakfast, a new interesting trail from Ripa to Perugia along the laundries trail. Arrival in Perugia where you will have your time to discover the great historical, artistic and architectural treasures of this ancient Etruscan town!

Day 4: from PERUGIA to MAGIONE
Today a new hike from Perugia to Magione through woods, monasteries and glens! A really relaxing stroll to enjoy the beauty of the countryside.

Day 5: from MAGIONE to PASSIGNANO SUL TRASIMENO
Beautiful walk among the rolling hills of Umbria dotted with wine estates and olive groves as far the shallow waters of Lake Trasimeno.

Day 6: from PASSIGNANO SUL TRASIMENO to CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO
Stage Passignano to Castiglione del Lago (by ferry) and Porto di Castiglione Nice ride by Ferry from Passignano to Isola Maggiore and to Castiglione with time for an hiking exploration of the Maggiore island or for a greedy lunch before the easy walk as far as Porto (it is possible to split this leg including an overnight in Maggiore Island).

Day 7: from CASTIGLIONE DEL LAGO to MONTEPULCIANO
Today we leave Umbria to enter in Tuscany for the stage from Porto to Montepulciano. From Porto we will walk across the Val di Chiana and then we will walk through the beautiful vineyards of Orcia Valley up to Montepulciano.

Day 8: from MONTEPULCIANO to SAN QUIRICO D'ORCIA
Stage Montepulciano - San Quirico d'Orcia . The Val d'Orcia and the land between Pienza and Montepulciano are perhaps the most characteristic and typical of the Tuscan landscape; e the charm of nature, the wonders of art and the pleasure of a great kitchen are melted in perfect harmony.

Day 9: from SAN QUIRICO D'ORCIA to BUONCONVENTO
Stage San Quirico d'Orcia to Buonconvento along the old Via Franciena.

Day 10: from BUONCONVENTO to MONTERONI D'ARBIA
This beautiful trail along the Francigena Way will allow us to pass by ancient villages set among beautiful vineyards.

Day 11: from MONTERONI D'ARBIA to SIENA
Our goal is the world famous Piazza del Campo, the symbol of the city and the et of his famous Palio! last day is dedicated to the urban trekking of Siena.

Departure. It 'still possible to extend your stay in Siena to discover deeply its great historical and artistic heritage.
