Day 1: ASSISI

On arrival in Perugia airport, we board our coach and transfer to Assisi; the Unesco Heritage town has many gems to show during Christmas time. Beautiful decorations, a nice Christmas market and a beautiful crib are to be visited besides the Upper and Lower Basilika and the beauty of the town. Transfer in hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 2: PERUGIA and GUBBIO

Breakfast. In the morning visit of Perugia, the capital of Umbria was founded by the Etruscans in the VII century b.C. The historical centre is one of the largest and most interesting in Italy. From the ancient Etruscan remains to the Middle-Ages, from Renaissance to Baroque, every period produced absolute masterpieces. This beautiful town will surprise and charm every visitor with unexpected sites and views.
In the afternoon Departure by private bus from Hotel to Gubbio for visiting to the old historical town. In Gubbio there are some special events dedicated to the celebration of Christmas. Gubbio is famous for the biggest Christmas tree of the world. At about 5 pm it lights up and the magic show goes on! The tree is as big as the mountain that dominates Gubbio; from the town as far as the top of the Mount Ingino it is 750 mt high and it is in the Guinness from 1991! It really worth! Back to the hotel, dinner and overnight.

Day 3: SPOLETO and MONTEFALCO

Breakfast. Departure by private bus from Hotel Spoleto, known to be an important Roman colony. We will see the Duomo, considered to be the most attractive landmark of the town. Here one can find various paintings, including a fifteenth century A.D. painting belonging to Filippo Lippi. At the top of the hill we find Ponte delle Torri, a medieval masterpiece, standing 220 meters high.
In the afternoon we will later proced to Montefalco, the “balcony of Umbria”, is celebrated for its unique location that offers a breathtaking 360° view of the Umbrian Valley from Spoleto to Perugia, from the Apennines to the Martani mountains. This hilltop town is still completely surrounded by the medieval walls and its five gates. The main monument is
the Church of Saint Francis with the famous Renaissance frescoes by Benozzo Gozzoli and Perugino.
Dinner in a winery producing the famous Sagrantino wine. Back to the hotel and overnight in hotel.

Day 4: PERUGIA

Breakfast. Departure by private bus to Perugia and visit to ancient glass laboratory, that since 1860 makes and restore stained glass windows and of works of art, for five generations, a family of artists has been making painted and baked stained-glass windows.
After the visit, free time for the Shopping in the wonderful Christmas Market that takes place here! We will then proceed to the underground fortress where we can find a traditional event featuring also many interesting typical products including chocolate, honey, cheese, sausages and more.
Transfer to the san Francis airport for flight departing.
